Program Description: The Build Iowa initiative's focus is to assist with bringing awareness to the great career opportunities within the construction industry. BuildIowa.org showcases career options and highlights the benefits of working in commercial construction and visitors to the website can find career path and industry-related information that can lead to a successful career. We also have an area where users can ask to be connected with a contractor. We receive these requests from educators and students often, and we in turn reach out to our member firms to fill the requests. In addition to the BuildIowa.org website and in an effort to help contractors spread the word about the facts and career options available in the construction industry, we have created Build Iowa social media accounts to provide snippets of information in an easy to share format.
